The project include widening of the road near to the water tank which then link to the back of new ICTC building, pass the PAPHRSB Institute of Health Science and straight on to the entrance road to the neighbouring Institute Teknologi Brunei. Construction work in progress.

We had our first MBWA (management by walking about) last week and visited the New Residential College, Male and Female Residential College, Visiting Lecturer Quaters, Universiti Mosque, Institute of Medicine, Faculty of Science and Student Affairs Building.




And along the way we met some students and also a few wild animals :)

The inspection was held on the 8th December 2009 and concentrated mainly on the defects liability period for building and mechanical and electrical (M&E) works.

Can you see it?

Today we received the second container of furniture for the IM building. Two more containers will arrive tomorrow. I was informed that everyone from the supplier's company will be working extra hours in the next few days installing and fixing the furniture. Very efficient! The dateline for moving into the new building is less than 2 weeks away.

Target date: 25th May 2009

Progress: The 1st container of furniture (beds and lecture chairs) have arrived. The projectors for the lecture theatres installed. Looks good so far.
