On campus accommodation at Universiti Brunei Darussalam is located just 4 minutes away, by foot from the faculty buildings. The pictures below feature the Female Residential College. In total, there is approximately 700 space for rent to students in both Female and Male Residential College. In my earlier posts, I have featured the currently
under construction Residential College.
The rooms are highly popular amongst the UBD students.
The Female Residential College has 6 blocks
and Male Residential College has 4 blocks.

A typical block is a 2 storey block, with the common
facilties such as kitchen and bathrooms in the middle.

catered facility, although some students do opt to self cater. The eatery is
located within the central area.

Most students except a for few international students
vacate their room during this long break.
The Estate Office carry out major
repairs and cleaning works during this time.

The University takes safety seriously. These canisters are
found within easy access throughout the accommodation.

All the blocks are equiped with ramps to ensure accesibility for all.
Screening points operation hours: 7.00am to 3.30pm
Screening points are manned by the heroic security officers of UBD and volunteers.
Screeners are properly trained by our in-house nurses
from the Institute of Medicine.

From tomorrow, Monday, 6th July 2009,
everyone entering the university campus will have their temperature screened. This is part of the University's preparedness plan in the face of the rising H1N1 cases in Brunei Darussalam.
5 screening points will be in operation:
- Chancellor Hall - At the lobby
- Administration Building - At the foyer
- Central Lecture Theaters - At the foyer (ground floor)
- Institute of Medicine - At the main entrance
- Library - At the main entrance
The number of screening points will be adjusted according to needs ~ We are currently on a long break and the new semester will start on 25th July 2009.
As part of the standard operating procedure, those with temperature above 38 degree Celsius or exhibiting any of the H1N1 symptoms (
runny nose, cough, sore throat, difficulty in breathing, joint pains, headache, dizziness, diarrhea or vomiting) will be given a face mask and advised to go to the nearest health centre immediately.
